In recognition of high academic achievement, a Dean's List is compiled for each of the fall and spring semesters.
Lakeland's Provost has the responsibility for compiling the list. Full and part-time students are eligible for recognition.
To qualify for the Dean's List, a full-time student must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 for the semester. All credits must be in courses included in the calculation of the GPA (see grading system in the course catalog).
Part-time students (taking less than 12 credit hours per semester) must complete a minimum of six credit hours and earn a minimum GPA of 3.5 for the semester. All credits must be in courses included in calculation of the GPA (see grading system in the course catalog).

Cleveland State University's Pathways to Practice offers a specialized pre-med track for students transferring from partner community colleges, including Lakeland Community College.

Community College transfer students must meet all of the requirements in section A and it is recommended that they meet at least two qualifications in section B to apply.

College Credit Plus (CCP) and Career Technical Education (CTE) programs provide practical and effective ways for high school students to gain valuable skills, explore career options, earn college credit and prepare for successful futures while still in high school.
You can start at Lakeland and transfer to a 4-year college or university using Ohio Transfer 36. This means you can earn your 2-year associate degree at Lakeland and transfer to a bachelor's degree program at any public school in Ohio starting as a junior! Guaranteed transfer credits allow you to take your pick of Ohio schools where you want to continue your education.
Earn an associate degree while completing general education requirements that are required during the first two years at most institutions.
