The following shall be considered as employee separation categories:
Resignation - voluntary and includes:
Resignation with or without notice.
Unexcused absence of three consecutive days without notice to the supervisor of record.
Failure to return from authorized leave of absence.
Failure to return to work from layoff upon recall.
Retirement
Layoff - as defined in Policy 3354:2-20-07.
Discharge - college-initiated, involuntary employment termination due to unsatisfactory job performance and/or conduct inappropriate for the workplace.
