FINANCIAL AID / SCHOLARSHIPS

Lakeland's Short-term Certificate Grant application is now closed as all available funding has been allocated.

The Ohio Department of Education (ODHE) has awarded Lakeland Community College funds under the Short-Term Certificate Grant Program to provide grants to students enrolled in certificate programs to meet the in-demand needs of Ohio based business and industries. This grant is designed to support students with demonstrated financial need in obtaining a certificate less than 30 credit hours and that can be completed in less than one year.

With these funds from the ODHE, Lakeland is able to provide up to $2,000 per eligible short-term certificate to assist with tuition and fees; a student may receive this assistance for up to three different eligible short-term certificates. However, the student must successfully complete one short-term certificate before receiving an award for another short-term certificate.
