Lakeland Cares Cupboard was created in response to a growing awareness of food insecurity on our campus. Our goal is to give students access to three days' worth of food, free of charge, and help connect them with outside resources, if needed.
We are fortunate now to have a partnership with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank*. This partnership will be a tremendous benefit for our students.
We now offer students:
In addition, there are many personal hygiene items available such as:
The Cares Cupboard is possible thanks to the generous support of the Lakeland Foundation and our donors. Through The Lakeland Foundation, funding was secured from Western Reserve Junior Service League to purchase both a large refrigerator and a freezer, and Meijer grocery provided new shelving units. These are just two examples of how the support of the community is helping our students with food insecurity.
Stop by the Lakeland Cares Cupboard located in A-1001 or contact us with any questions.

If you are interested in supporting the Lakeland Cares Cupboard, monetary donations are being accepted and can be made online through The Lakeland Foundation and designated to the Ken Quiggle - End Student Hunger Now Fund. All funds go directly to purchasing food and personal hygiene items. Thank you in advance for your support!
