Lakeland's Veterans Center office is here to help you get started on your new mission - earning a college degree!

Lakeland Community College is committed to helping active duty personnel, veterans, reservists and dependents attain their personal and professional goals. The veterans center can help with questions about educational benefits, advice on how to fill out and complete VA forms and much more.

Two distinct services are offered to Lakeland veterans. Click the links below to learn how to enroll, the benefits you will receive as a student veteran and the various programs offered both on and off campus to help ensure success in college and beyond.

Lakeland Community College employees do not receive incentive payments for recruiting service members. The college does not aggressively contact service members or engage in same-day recruitment and registration for the purpose of securing service member enrollments.

Veterans Readmission Policy

It is the policy of Lakeland Community College to ensure that any student whose absence from an institution of higher education is necessitated by reason of service in the armed services shall be entitled to readmission upon return from military service without an application if:

  • the cumulative length of the absence does not exceed five years;
  • the student submits a notification of intent to reenroll to the registrar; and
  • the student's service did not end in dishonorable or bad conduct discharge or dismissal.
