Welcome to Lakeland East!

Students of all ages may begin their higher education at Lakeland Community College's East Off-Site Center in a relaxed environment with personalized attention afforded by smaller class sizes.

Lakeland East offers general education courses from arts and humanities, science and mathematics, and social science and public service. Courses are conveniently offered in the day and evening.

Continuing Education (noncredit) courses are also offered at the off-site center, providing community members an opportunity to enjoy a wide assortment of learning experiences that are not grade-based.

At Lakeland we have many different types of students in many different stages in life. Our admissions policies and requirements may vary depending on one's specific endeavors or background. To help prepare for a particiular admissions process, please review the listings on the Admissions website.

New students can enroll by completing an application for admission with a one-time nonrefundable fee to the Admissions Office. The general admission policy of the college does not ensure admittance to a particular course or program.

Books may be ordered online and by phone (440) 525-7124 from the main campus bookstore and delivered to Lakeland East at no additional charge.

Lakeland East has a computer lab that has 16 workstations. When the lab is not being used for classes, students are able to use it as an open computer lab. Wireless internet is available on all the computers as well as access to Microsoft Office applications.

Students can bring their own wireless devices to the site and access the Internet. Laptops are also available for student use. To request a laptop, students should stop by the main desk and a staff member will be happy to assist you. Photo identification is required. Help Desk staff provide service to students for student email, Blackboard, eLearning, myLakeland, wireless network access, issues with spyware and other computer related problems. For assistance, please contact the Help Desk at 440.525.7570.

The Learning Center is dedicated to student success and provides the following support services: College Success Workshops, eTutoring, Math in Minutes, Success Coaching, Tutuoring, Writing Center, and Testing Services. For assistance with any of these services, please contact a Lakeland East staff member or 440.525.7019.

Lakeland provides each student with $10 in free printing and copy services each semester. This will reset at the start of each new semester. You will not be charged for printing until you have used all of your free prints. Funds can be added to your account through myLakeland.

Operating as an autonomous police district since 1975, the Lakeland Community College Police Department has primary jurisdiction for safety on campus and is staffed 24 hours/7 days a week. The Lakeland Community College Police Department is stationed on main campus in Kirtland, Ohio; therefore the department coordinates with the Madison Village Police Department to respond to emergencies and most calls for service at Lakeland East in Madison, Ohio.

Employees and students at Lakeland Community College have been automatically enrolled in our Emergency Alert system. This system will be used to inform you of emergency situations via phone and email. You have the option of adding additional email addresses, phone and text numbers. In the event of inclement weather, Lakeland East Off-Site Center will be closed if and when Lakeland Community College's main campus is ordered to close or if a building emergency (i.e. utility failure) were to occur.
