ANNOUNCEMENTS

RESPIRATORY PROGRAM RECEIVES CREDENTIALING SUCCESS AWARD
Lakeland's respiratory therapy program was recently presented with the Distinguished RRT Credentialing Success Award, for consistently meeting the requirements of its accrediting agency, the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC). This recognition was based on objective criteria used for key accreditation metrics, including a consistent pass rate of 90% or higher on the RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) national exam, as it was evaluated over a three-year period.
Purpose

The respiratory therapy program at Lakeland Community College serves students and the healthcare community by preparing graduates with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapists (RRTs).
