Lakeland Community College offers many introductory modern language classes for students interested in learning a language; intending to transfer; and looking for general elective courses. Students interested in a degree related to modern languages should complete Lakeland's Associate of Arts degree.
Students interested in pursuing a four-year degree in a modern language, humanities, or another related field should consult with a Lakeland counselor and the Transfer Center as soon as possible to maximize course transferability as many four-degrees require the completion of one or two years of foreign language courses.
