Lake County Fall College Fair

Co-sponsored by Lakeland Community College and Lake Erie College, the Lake County Fall College Fair is held in the Athletic and Fitness Center on Lakeland Community College's campus.

We invite dozens of schools from Ohio and surrounding states to participate in this free on-campus event to help Lake County residents learn more about their options in higher education.

Students and parents will have the opportunity to speak with personnel from participating schools and ask questions about colleges and universities of interest.

3 Tips for Making the Most Out of Your College Fair Visit

Students and their families should prepare a few things before coming to a college fair.

Here are a three things we recommend that you do before your visit:

  1. Review the list of attending schools to narrow it down, for example: Big or small? Public or private?
  2. Prepare a list of questions that will help you with your decision:
    • What are the most popular majors?
    • How much is tuition?
    • Are scholarships available?
    • What is the ratio of professors to students?
    • What are the student housing options?
    • What is student life like during the week?
    • During the weekend?
  3. Pre-print address labels that include your name, address, telephone number, high school, and graduation year to stick on request for information cards to eliminate having to re-write your name and address at every table you visit.

Layce Artman I graduated with my associate degree from Lakeland while at the same time graduating as Valedictorian from high school. I plan to attend the Holden University Center to complete my bachelor's degree in criminal justice. Layce Artman College Credit Plus

Michelle Timms One thing I really love about Lakeland and being in the honors program is that the teachers have small classes and they are very devoted to their students. My friends at four-year institutions are taking the same intro classes that I am, but in large lecture halls with a lot more students. Michelle Timms Associate of Arts
