Hello all! I started my academic pathway earning a certificate in medical assisting shortly after graduating from high school. Several years later I decided I wanted to pursue a higher degree and came to Lakeland to earn an Associates of Arts degree, but I did not stop there. Two years later, I began my bachelor's degree at Cleveland State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences. But I did not stop there. Two years later, I pursed my master's degree, and I just recently earned my Masters of Education in Health Professions.
My work experience includes 16 years of practice experience as a medical assistant, and over 13 years of experience in higher education. Here at Lakeland, I serve as the program director of both the medical assisting and administrative medical office certificate programs. I also coordinate several HLTH courses at Lakeland. I am passionate about medical assisting and truly love what I do here at Lakeland! I work hard to make your learning experience meaningful and pertinent to your education learning goals.
Opportunity does start here at Lakeland! I am an example of that!
